Cooking resources

Cooking feeds your body, mind, and soul. It allows you to control the food you put into your body, connect with your family and friends over a home cooked meal, and save the money you might otherwise spend in restaurants or on processed, prepackaged foods. Believe it or not, making simple and satisfying meals from scratch doesn’t have to be hard. You’ll find that eating well can also be delicious!

In 2010, Joe Cross took viewers on his journey from overweight and sick to healthy and fit via a 60-day juice fast in the award-winning Fat Sick and Nearly Dead. And now he's back with Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead 2, where Joe examines how to make healthy habits last for the long-term, and how lifestyle choices impact overall health. Throughout this story, Joe meets with experts who present realistic solutions and viable strategies to make and maintain long-term sustainable improvements to eating.

The film examines corporate farming in the United States, concluding that agribusiness produces food thatis unhealthy, in a way that is environmentally harmful and abusive of both animals and employees.

The film tells the story of Carr's battle with epithelioid hemangioendothelioma (EHE), a vascular cancer in the lining of the blood vessels in her liver and lungs so rare that only 0.01 percent of the cancer population has it.

It is a 2006 American biographical drama film based on Chris Gardner's nearly one-year struggle with homelessness. The unusual spelling of the film's title comes from graffiti on a wall that Chris sees near the beginning of the film. In the movie, "happiness" is incorrectly spelled as "happyness" on the wall outside the daycare facility Gardner's son attends.

The memoir chronicles the author's (Elizabeth Gilbert) trip around the world after her divorce and what she discovered during her travels.

The film presents the thesis that a selective diet can play a key role in treating a range of health conditions such as diabetes, cancer, heart disease anddepression, often substituting for medical treatment.

It explores how mainstream media contribute to the under-representation of women in influential positions by circulating limited and often disparaging portrayals of women.

For the past 30 years, everything we thought we knew about food and exercise is dead wrong. FED UP is the film the food industry doesn't want you to see. From Katie Couric, Laurie David, and director Stephanie Soechtig, FED UP will change the way you eat forever.

This film exposes shocking secrets the diet, weight loss and food industries don't want you to know about deceptive strategies designed to keep you coming back for more.

War on Health is the first documentary detailing and challenging the FDA agenda and its allegiance with the international Codex Alimentarius, which hopes to establish a monolithic food and health regime.

"In Organic We Trust" is an eye-opening food documentary that looks beyond organic for practical solutions for me and you. Local farmer's markets, school gardens, and urban farms are revolutionizing the way we eat.

50 million people in the U.S. - one in four children - don't know where their next meal is coming from, despite our having the means to provide nutritious, affordable food for all Americans.

A GMO (genetically modified organism) is the result of a laboratory process where genes from the DNA of one species are extracted and artificially forced into the genes of an unrelated plant or animal. The foreign genes come from bacteria, viruses, insects, animals or even human and they are in your food!

Genetically modified foods have been linked to toxic and allergic reactions, sick, sterile, and dead livestock, and damage to virtually every organ studied in lab animals. The effects on humans is under study.
